RIHSC Enterprise
The RIHSC provides insight, analysis, recommendations and commentaries on issues falling into the following categories:
Policing and Community Partnership
This includes such topics as engaging NGOs in battling hate crimes, partnering with local businesses to provide alternatives to youths to reduce gang recruitment, along with working with community groups to advance CPTED strategies to reduce burglaries, etc.
Community Conflict Resolution
This area addresses such aspects as effective police response to community issues, managing civil unrest, managing the media, etc.
Capacity Building for Community Safety and Security
This is a broad heading that spans a series of separate but complimentary enhancement activities for local communities. This includes such aspects as compiling inventories of community capacity, building collaboration models between the police and social services and helping commercial enterprises and the voluntary sector to build their organizational capacity for safety and security.
