                                        Dr. Zsolt Molnar

 

Mr. Zsolt Molnar, legal adviser for the Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement in Hungary, has been a member of the Hungarian Police Force for more than sixteen years. His career started with service in the investigation department specialising on crimes against properties. In 1996 he joined a United Nations Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina and was acting as a team leader of civilian police monitors.  After fifteen months in the Srebrenica area he returned back to police trial investigation unit focusing on economical crimes.  In 2001, he completed the university degree on faculty of law and was promoted to the head of the crime prevention department position. The new director of the Hungarian Crime Prevention Policy has deployed him to the newly established Crime Prevention Academy (previously belonging to the Ministry of Interior, now to the Ministry of Justice and Law Enforcement).
 
During his training activity (beside the managing tasks) Mr. Molnar has successfully performed numerous national and international courses. He participated in the Council of Europe sponsored programme with IOM on the CARPO project, conducted trainings in Georgia organized by UNOMIG (United Nations Mission in Georgia), is a member of the Council of Europe (CoE) Police and Human Rights Network Programme as a trainer, and facilitated training for trainers in Uzbekistan.  On the national level he organized and also performed trainings related to crime prevention issues and community development, is a member of the Police Special-Exam Committee, published studies

 

in connection with data protection and human dimension of defence. He has also been a member of the OSCE/ODIHR sponsored training program for law enforcement officers on combating hate crime from the beginning of the project.
