Paul Goldenberg - President RIHSC
As an innovative and internationally respected executive officer with a unique mix of high level experience in criminal justice, human services and regulatory matters, Paul is well respected in his fields of endeavor. He has a successful track record in developing and administering efficient and effective multi-functional departments and divisions for new corporate and governmental initiatives. For a number of years, Paul has led a distinguished group of international law enforcement executives on behalf of a major international organization tasked with providing support, training and leadership mentoring to policing, justice and national security elements within the 56 participating states of the OSCE. This effort focuses on issues of civil governance, community engagement and non-governmental organization (NGO) consultation within the program. This program and its ancillary impacts have lead Paul to meetings with heads of State, senior Ministers and Ambassadors from a plethora of nations. It has also sought his engagement as a speaker at international conferences and conventions on the related topics, ranging from Washington to Moscow and Berlin to Bucharest.
In these consultations with representatives of various governmental as well as non-governmental organizations in Europe and North America, Paul has been able to accurately assess their needs. Many of these consultation efforts that Paul facilitated were unprecedented, bringing together non-governmental organizations and law enforcement representatives for the first time in history within their nations.
In order to achieve these goals, Paul draws on his vast experiences in government and law enforcement, ranging from undercover drug investigator in southern Florida during the 1970’s to Chief of Bias Crime Investigations for the State of New Jersey during the early 1990’s, to investigative leader for the U.S. Senate Banking Commission enquiries of the late 1990’s. Paul has undertaken complex work ranging from organized crime and racketeering in the harbors around New York to international hate crime investigations that have flowed through a series of nations.
He has led major compliance initiatives for major regional governments involving billions of dollars, as well as for some of the world's largest insurance providers. His public, private sector work has taken him around the globe and to the highest levels of governance.
Today Paul leads RIHSC along with an international group of senior staff that draw upon their knowledge and expertise in order to achieve the goals that RIHSC has set for itself in “Helping inform the decisions that impact upon the human dimension of global security”
Paul is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Cardinal Point Strategies group and its subsidiaries, providing consulting services for public and private sector and international governments.
