NPSS Group Selected to Lead International Hate Crimes Training Effort for European Law Enforcement
WARSAW, Poland - November 5, 2004 - The Office of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has selected the New Jersey based National Public Safety Strategy Group (NPSS Group) as their implementing agency for a programme focused on delivering training on combating hate crimes to national police services across the OSCE Region.
The OSCE is the largest regional security organization in the world with 55 participating States from Europe, Central Asia and North America. It is active in early warning, conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation. The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is the principal institution of the OSCE responsible for this human dimension.
The programme is being developed in a series of phases, and will involve experts from a number of countries, brought together by the NPSS Group, in order to compile the regions best practices in the fight against hate crime and the propagation of extremism.
The NPSS Group is honored to have been selected to play this major and pivotal role in the law enforcement community’s global efforts to eradicated crimes of hate and the violent manifestation of discrimination and intolerance.
The National Public Safety Strategy Group is an international dynamic consortium of experts in community safety, national security, government relations and civic affairs. The NPSS Group provides services to governments around the globe, at the national, regional and local level, while assisting the private sector in the provisioning of services and supplies that meet government’s needs.
